Our Process


The following process is the standard set to every LTB 25′ Competitor – Built One At a Time. Our boats are built 100% Wood-Free and feature composite, fiberglass and foam. We fiberglass just about anything we can to have the least amount of moving parts and one bonded unit – resulting in what we like to call a: Lifetime Boat.

Step 1: Preparing Mold

In the first step of our build process, we completely wax the mold in preparation of gel coat. Your selected color will be sprayed evenly to the mold and our standard thickness. We’re off and running!

Step 2: Skin Coat Lamination

The “Skin Out” starts as our team hand-lays fiberglass on top of the gel coat to build the base fiberglass layers. This is the waterproofing barrier that allows us to bond the structural lamination in the next step.

Step 3: Structural Lamination

Using an industry leading amount of commercial-grade fiberglasss, our teams does our standard schedule using high quality biaxial fiberglass known as 1708 and 1808. Each and every Latitude Tournament Boat is “over-built” to be consistent with our LTB standards.

Step 4: Stringers

Installation of the stringers and bulkheads begins by cutting foam to our highly-customized grid layout to conform to our efficient 25′ floor plan. This process strikes the ideal balance between flotation and strength, with just the right amount of flex to avoid excess rigidity. The foam is installed and molded into the hull.

Step 5: Transom

The transom consists of high-density polyurethane foam reinforced with layers of fiberglass. This delivers superior strength and removes any possibility of water intrusion or rot that wood can cause.

Step 6: Pull from Mold

The hull is now pulled from the mold and carefully placed on a cradle for rigging.

Step 7: Fuel Tank

A standard 189-gallon fuel tank is now installed and foamed into place. Our proprietary process encloses the aluminum fuel tank in a sealed compartment to prevent water intrusion and corrosion.

Step 8: Outboard Bracket

Our 25′ Latitude Tournament Boat is designed to accommodate either a single or twin outboard engine. The bracket is made of Aluminum by the legendary Stainless Marine in Miami.

Step 9: Install Deck & Liner

The deck & liner is pulled from the mold and prepped for boat. The hatches are cut out and the liner is trimmed. We then place the liner in the boat on top of Arjay adhesive in order to bond to the stringers and bulkheads.

Step 10: Apply Nonskid

The deck, cap and hatches are sprayed with our nonskid for optimal grip and no slip.
