Please read carefully. By registering for a sea trial event, you agree to all of the terms below on behalf of yourself and anyone you bring or represent.

1. Assumption of Risk. I understand that participating in or riding aboard a vessel during a sea trial is an inherently dangerous activity. Risks include, but are not limited to: rough water and weather, collision, capsizing, falls, slips, being thrown about or overboard, drowning, mechanical or equipment failure, contact with propellers or moving parts, fire, exposure, and serious bodily injury, permanent disability, or death, as well as damage to or loss of personal property. I knowingly and voluntarily accept and assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, and whether or not caused by the negligence of LTB Boatworks or others. I participate entirely at my own risk.
2. Responsibility for My Own Safety. I am responsible for my own safety and conduct at all times. I agree to wear a properly fitted life jacket/personal flotation device when required or instructed, to follow all instructions given by the vessel operator and LTB Boatworks staff, and to refrain from participating if I am impaired by alcohol, drugs, or any medical condition. I confirm that I am physically able to participate and that I have disclosed any condition that could affect my safety or that of others.
3. Release and Waiver of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, discharge, and agree not to sue LTB Boatworks, its owners, officers, employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, vessel owners, and operators (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, or causes of action of any kind arising out of or related to my participation in the sea trial event, including any claim based on the negligence of the Released Parties, for any injury, death, loss, or property damage I may suffer.
4. Indemnification. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or cost (including attorney’s fees) they may incur arising out of my participation, my violation of these terms, or the acts of anyone I bring to the event.
5. Minors. If I am registering or bringing anyone under 18, I represent that I am that person’s parent or legal guardian and I agree to all terms above on their behalf, assuming all risks and releasing the Released Parties to the same extent.
6. Media Release. I grant LTB Boatworks permission to use photographs, video, or audio taken during the event for promotional purposes without compensation.
7. Governing Law. This agreement is governed by the laws of the state in which the specific sea trial event is held — Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, or North Carolina — without regard to that state’s conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in that state, and I consent to that jurisdiction and venue. If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in full effect. This is the entire agreement between me and LTB Boatworks regarding the sea trial event.
BY REGISTERING FOR THIS SEA TRIAL EVENT, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS WAIVER, RELEASE, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND I ACCEPT AND AGREE TO ALL OF ITS TERMS FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
